Can you use a laser measure outdoors in daylight?

Bright sun is the honest limit on any laser: the dot washes out at distance long before the rangefinder does. That is why a hybrid matters more outdoors than inside. The T1R Range gives you a green line rather than a red dot, a backlit reading you can see in glare, and a full blade for the times the target is close enough to touch. On a footing, a retaining wall or a fence line, the tool does not force a choice between reach and being able to see.

The video takes exterior dimensions along a poured concrete retaining wall with a fence above it, working in daylight with the green laser and reading 39 3/4, 90 and 114 3/4 as it moves along the wall. The longer shots go to the laser and the near ones stay on the blade, which is what an exterior layout actually looks like.
