Every shop has a rack of pieces too good to bin and too vague to use. Nobody knows what is on it, so the next job gets ordered at full price while eight usable lengths lean against the wall. Walking the rack once with a T1 Tomahawk and saving each length into a named group turns it into a list you can check before ordering. The measurement is captured at the material, so the list matches the rack instead of matching somebody's memory of it.

The video works down a rack of stored trim stock, taking a length off each piece and recording it as it goes. Nothing is written on the ends and nothing is estimated by eye. It is the least glamorous use of a digital tape and one of the most direct: the list of what you already own, made once and kept current.
