How do you measure a wall height from across the room?
- Layout
- Estimating & Takeoff
Tall interiors are the measurement nobody wants: a lift, a ladder or a guess. Point to point on the T1R Range shoots the bottom corner and the top corner and returns the distance between them, not to them, so a fourteen foot wall is measured with both feet on the floor. The figure saves to the list and goes into the takeoff without a second trip.
How point to point works
- Shoot the bottom corner, then the top
- T1R returns distance between the points
- Measured from where you stand
- No lift and no ladder for the height
- Saves to the list for the takeoff
Use point to point mode and never walk over. Shoot the bottom corner, shoot the top corner, and the T1R Range calculates the distance between those two points rather than the distance to either. It put this wall at 14 feet 2 and 3/8 inches tall, measured from where you happen to be standing.
