Printing a label that carries both the spec and a QR code
- Material Tracking
- QR Labeling
- Data Entry
A label with a part number tells you what something is; a label with a code on it tells you where the rest of the information lives. The P1L Tagger prints both on the same tag, so a bin of fasteners carries its own spec in text and a scannable link to the drawing it belongs to. The label is laid out on the phone and printed at the bench, which is where the labelling actually gets done.
What goes on the tag
- Text says what it is
- The code says where the rest lives
- P1L prints both on one tag
- Laid out on the phone, printed at the bench
- P1L Tagger tags survive the bin they sit in
Labels are laid out on a phone beside the printer and printed in turn. One carries a fastener spec reading number eight by one and a half Phillips alongside a QR code; another pairs a code with a reference to a floor plan. The printed tags are shown coming off the roll on the bench.
