Recording underground stub-outs before the slab covers them
- Concrete
- Rough-In
- Photo Documentation
- BOLDR
Once the slab is poured everything beneath it is a guess backed by a photograph nobody can measure. The T1R Range lays its green line across the rebar and each drain and sleeve position drops onto a photo of the trench in BOLDR, tagged one at a time. What gets buried is recorded with dimensions rather than described, which is the difference between locating a line later and cutting concrete to find it.
Record it before the pour
- Under a slab a photo is not a dimension
- The green line holds a reference on rebar
- Each stub tagged on its own
- Labels sit on the photo of the trench
- Locate it later instead of cutting to find
An open trench before a pour, rebar tied in a grid and white PVC stubs standing up through it. The green laser line runs across the bars and down the side of a stub. An iPad is then shown holding a photograph of the same trench with labelled tags placed on each penetration, reading 9 15/16, 20 5/8, 32 3/16 and 21 11/16.
