Recording valve heights in a wall before it closes
- Plumbing
- Rough-In
- BOLDR Max
Rough-in valve heights are the figures a tiler and a finish plumber both come looking for months later, and they usually survive as a photograph plus somebody's memory. Narrating the walk to camera glasses while the T1R Range reads each offset gives BOLDR Max a 3D model with the upper and lower valves labelled apart, so the wall keeps its own dimensions once the board is on.
What the model keeps
- Valve heights get wanted months later
- A photograph carries no dimensions
- Glasses record while the tool reads
- Upper and lower valves labelled apart
- The wall keeps its numbers after board
A framed bathroom wall with copper stub-outs and a mixing valve is measured, the green line running down the stud and the blade hooked over the plate. The clip carries a BOLDR MAX badge and cuts to a 3D model of that same wall with labelled offsets reading 18 13/16, 45 3/8 and 53 13/16 against the upper and lower valves.
