Every inside measurement taken by bending a blade into the corner costs a little of that blade, and a kinked tape never stands out straight again. The T1 Tomahawk reads from the back of the tool, so the body sits flat against one stud and the reading comes off the other without the blade being forced anywhere. The figure is captured on the display as it is taken, so a bay full of blocking gets measured once rather than guessed at twice.

The same measurement is then taken with the T1 Tomahawk sitting flat in the bay, reading twenty-five and a quarter with the blade straight. Nothing is bent, folded or read around a curve.
