Most miter saws in service predate any digital stop, and nobody replaces a saw that still cuts true to gain a readout. The M1 Caliber Adapter Fence bolts on as a replacement fence and gives the M1 a mounting surface on saws it was never designed around. An old saw gets a digital stop instead of a pencil mark and a tape hooked over the table.
