Wall layout is a cumulative error problem: sixteen on centre repeated forty times is how sheet edges stop breaking on a stud. Relative mode on the T1 Tomahawk zeroes at the last stud, so every reading is the actual spacing rather than a running total you subtract in your head, and the green laser drops a visible line on the plate so the stud sets to a mark you can see. The layout stays true to the far end of the wall.
