A tape that has been dropped looks exactly like a tape that has not, and the hook is the part that bends first. The REEKON Accuracy Block gives a fixed reference to seat the blade against, so the check takes seconds and returns a number rather than an opinion. This one came back about a hundred and twenty-eighth off on the pull, which is inside tolerance.

Check the hook before you trust it again. A drop can bend the hook without leaving a mark you would notice. Seat the blade in the Accuracy Block and see which half inch mark lines up against the reference blade. This one came back about a hundred and twenty-eighth off on the pull, which is fine.
