A tool that charges through a port on its body is off the job while it charges, which is the whole argument against digital on a long day. The T1 Tomahawk takes a removable pack, so a spare sits in a two-bay charger and goes in when the first one drops. Nothing is tethered to a wall and no run of measurements gets abandoned halfway because the display went dark on the far side of a building.
