A window opening gives you more than one face to measure to, and picking up the cement instead of the frame is how a height comes back short enough to scrap the unit. The T1 Tomahawk switches to measure-from-the-back, so the tool body registers against the frame edge you actually want and the blade never has to reach past it. The figure goes over Bluetooth as it is taken, so the order is placed off the survey rather than off a notebook.

Dimensions are captured for a window replacement with the tool switched to measure-back mode. The width is taken to the outside edge of the frame and reads thirty-two and a quarter; the height is taken while deliberately staying off the cement and reads seventeen and seven-eighths. Both are sent over Bluetooth before the tool leaves the opening.
