Threshold dimensions get taken down at floor level, on your knees, with dust on the slab and the track already set, and a tape hook will not sit on an aluminium sill without sliding off it. The T1 Tomahawk reads at the tool so the body registers against the track and the blade runs flat along the concrete. The figure is captured before you stand up, which matters when the next opening is thirty feet down the corridor.
