Measuring openings framed in light-gauge steel stud

Steel stud gives you a sharp edge, a springy web and nothing a tape hook will sit on square, so an opening in a metal-framed partition gets measured twice and trusted once. The T1 Tomahawk reads from the back of the tool, so the body butts against the track and the blade stays out of the flange. Each figure is saved as it is taken, which is what a fit-out with forty openings on the drawings actually needs.

Openings in a commercial interior framed in light-gauge steel stud are measured, galvanised track and studs visible with stacked board behind. The tool is worked across several openings in turn and the display steps through readings from four and a half up past thirty and a half. Nothing is marked on the steel.
