Turning a rough-in walkthrough into a dimensioned model
- Framing
- Rough-In
- BOLDR Max
Rough-in is the last time anyone sees where the stacks actually sit. A photograph helps, but a photo carries no dimensions and a list of dimensions carries no photo. Walking the bay in camera glasses while the T1R Range measures between studs gives BOLDR Max both at once: a 3D model of that wall with the pipe runs modelled in place and the bay widths written on it, finished before the drywall closes it up.
What the model gives you
- Rough-in is the last look behind the wall
- A photo carries no dimensions
- A dimension list carries no photo
- Glasses and the T1R Range give both
- Pipes modelled, bay widths tagged in place
A split screen shows what the glasses capture above and what comes back below. On top, the T1R Range measures between studs in an open framed wall with PVC stacks running through it, the green laser visible down the bay. Underneath, the same wall as a 3D model with the pipes in place and bay widths tagged at 34 3/8, 34 3/8 and 13 1/8.
