Verifying installed cabinet openings against the numbers on them
- Cabinets & Millwork
- Punch List
- Accuracy
Boxes get pencilled with their intended opening before they go up, and the useful question afterwards is whether the installed opening still matches what is written on it. The T1R Range reads inside each box from the back of the tool, so a run gets checked without unclipping anything, and every reading is saved against the run rather than ticked off on the carcass and painted over later.
What the check actually catches
- The pencilled number is the intent
- Installed opening is the fact
- T1R reads inside from the back
- Nothing unclipped to check a box
- T1R Range saves it against the run
A run of installed upper cabinets is checked, each carcass carrying a pencilled dimension written on its face. The tool is worked inside the openings in turn with the blade run across the interior, windows visible on the far wall. The readings are taken box by box along the run.
